How do I convert a PDF invoice to Excel?
Upload your invoices (PDF, JPG, or PNG). Describe the columns you want in plain language, for example invoice number, date, vendor, net amount, tax, total. Download the result as Excel, CSV, or JSON. There are no templates to configure and no rules to write; the prompt is the whole setup.
Can it extract line items, not just invoice totals?
Yes. Ask for one row per line item with the columns you need (description, quantity, unit price, tax, total) and each invoice's items become individual spreadsheet rows, with header fields like invoice number and vendor repeated on each row if you want them. An invoice whose line items run over several pages comes out as one invoice's rows.
Does it work with scanned invoices and photos?
Yes. Native PDFs, scanned PDFs and phone photos (JPG, PNG) all work, and they can go in the same batch. As with any invoice, a value or a row the panel of AI agents cannot agree on is flagged as Review Needed, with what to check, and in the results viewer one click opens that row beside the page it came from.
What about invoices in other languages or currencies?
Invoices in German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Greek, Polish, Chinese and every other major language convert the same way, including mixed batches. Multi-currency batches are fine: you can ask for the currency in its own column, or for amounts exactly as printed.
How does it handle credit notes mixed into a batch?
Tell it what you want in the prompt: for example, treat credit note amounts as negative, or list them on their own rows. If your prompt doesn't mention credit notes and the AI encounters some, it tells you how it handled them in its notes on the run.
Can I import the output into QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage?
The output is standard Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv) or JSON (.json), and your prompt sets the exact columns, their order and the date and number formats, so the file matches the import format your accounting software or ERP expects. Save the prompt and every batch comes back in the same columns and formats.
